Success:
NH Child
Advocacy Network members brainstormed about the
possibilities for the 2011 Priorities for NH's Children.
Participants also enjoyed a Celebration honoring those who
led in the legislative process and bid a fond farewell to
Iris Estabrook who reminded us:
"Because
of this collective work,
·
NH’s children will not be routinely shackled when
transported under state custody
·
NH’s children will have greater protections than ever
from bullying
·
NH’s children will be less likely to be court ordered
into the custody of an abusive parent
·
NH’s children will get the early and intensive treatment
they need for ASD
·
NH’s children will benefit from updated child support
laws
·
NH’s children will have more seamless health insurance
coverage
And
even in this economic climate of increasing needs and
fewer resources, our work has helped avert some of the
deepest and most potentially harmful cuts to services.
Our work on education funding and the children’s budget
watch have laid groundwork for monitoring and impacting
the budget deliberations of the
very tough biennium
ahead."
